The peroxide beauty, Agyness Deyn, has made a return to the runway four years after her retirement.
The Manchester native who made her name in the noughties as the face of many fashion houses, including Burberry, Armani and Jean Paul Gaultier, graced the runway at many SS16 shows during the fashion weeks.
The last time Deyn, real name Laura Hollins, was on the runway was Giles S/S11 show. After retiring at the age of 29, she has spent the last four years away from the party pages and focusing solely on her fashion line, Title A, and trying to break into the movie business.
The 32-year-old has grown out of her iconic pixie crop and is showcasing her natural hair colour and flowing locks. Hedi Slimane, the creative director of Yves Saint Laurent, couldn’t have chosen a better time to bring back the model as she worked perfectly with the vampy, grunge vibes of the collection.
Deyn took to Twitter and Instagram to thank Slimane for the opportunity, saying: “Thank you Hedi. That was a blast”.
So after this long awaited return, does this mean Miss Deyn is here to stay? We do hope so!
