H&M have teamed up with Balmain for their latest collaboration set to be released on November 5 2015.

The Swedish chain started doing high street/high-end collaborations back in 2004 with Karl Lagerfeld. Since then they’ve teamed up with Versace, Stella McCartney and Editor-at-Large and creative director of Japanese Vogue, Anna Dello Russo.

A few pieces from the fashion houses ready-to-wear autumn 2015 collection have already been previewed by Jourdan Dunn and Kendall Jenner at the 2015 Billboard Awards.

Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s creative director, said he wanted to talk to his generation which is his main goals as a designer. He even created the hashtag #HMBalmaination to help fuel a feeling of togetherness.

He added: “The collaboration felt extremely natural to me: H&M is a brand that everybody connects to. It calls for unity, and I am all for it.”

Ann-Sofie Johannson, creative advisor at H&M, said: “With its mix of couture spirit and streetwear attitude, Balmain owns a unique style, at once opulent and direct, sensual and energetic.

“It is also closely linked to the show business and music worlds, which adds another element of surprise.”

The collection will be in 250 stores and will be available online and will feature clothing and accessories for both men and women.
