Beauty expert Sali Hughes comes to Tyneside Cinema

Sali Hughes

Sali Hughes will take to Tyneside Cinema to talk about all things beauty and her new book.

To celebrate the publication of her new book Pretty Honest, Sali will be in conversation with Marie Nixon, chief executive of Students Union at University of Sunderland.

Sali, for those of you who don’t know, is beauty editor at The Guardian, she has had over 20 years experience in the industry and will give audiences an insight into her knowledge of the beauty world.

Pretty Honest, lays into the myth that women can’t be interested in beauty and serious issues. Using her experience of the industry, Sali shows women how to make the most of make-up’s physically and emotionally transformative powers. The book is described as half instruction manual and half love letter to make-up with a side order of feminism and a hilarious best friend.

The talk with Sali Hughes at Tyneside Cinema is presented by New Writing North, an organisation who make opportunities for young people, generally in arts and writing.

Sali Hughes will be at the Tyneside Cinema Wedensday November 5. Tickets start at £6.50
