If you don’t already know, Spark Magazine are producing their first Prom Special.

Fashion North are taking over the next issue to bring you everything you need to know about your upcoming prom. From what to wear, to how to do your hair yourself and some real life prom stories.

On Thursday (February 19), we had our first prom photoshoot. Miss Teen Newcastle and Junior Miss Tyne and Wear Galaxy, Harriotte Lane, and semi finalist Miss Teen GB, Georgia Mordey, took part in the shoot.

We had 51 dresses, eight models, 35 balloons and a whole load of props. The dresses included beautiful gowns from Amy Barker and Love Niche, as well as high street stores such as Quiz, Miss Selfridge, Warehouse and Accessorize.

At 6 foot and only 13-years-old, we were excited to have Harriotte Lane join us, as she modelled some full length dresses for the shoot.

The teen pageant model has appeared in national press recently; sharing her story of school bullying and teasing because of her height. Harriotte has since had messages from all over the world, from as far as New Zealand, reaching out showing their support and admiration. The 13-year-old model has also received interest from various modelling agencies.

Our Features Editor, Kelly Hepworth, caught up with Harriotte Lane back in January in preparation for Junior Miss Galaxy.

Take a look at some of our behind the scenes shots and keep your eyes peeled for further information on Spark Proms. Keep up to date through our Facebook and Twitter.
