On Monday, December 10 celebrities graced the red carpet at the Fashion Awards 2018 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Designers, actresses, models, and musicians all came together to celebrate the awards, all with their own unique and varied sense of style.
Unsurprisingly, Victoria Beckham chose to wear a dress from her own label. But, when you have a fashion empire as big as hers, why would you wear any other designer? Sneakily the gorgeous sophisticated black dress hid “sensible” shoes, apparently, the fashionista didn’t want sore feet at the end of the night.
Alek Wek, model (and co-host alongside Jack Whitehall) wore a dress designed by Emilia Wickstead and it was one of the most eye-catching and dramatic pieces of the entire evening. With a big pink bow that fell to the floor, attached to a black mini dress covered in Swarovski crystals it was the dress of every girl’s dreams and party appropriate.
Dina Asher-Smith, let her voluminous dress do all the talking and kept her accessories to a minimum, very smart. Wearing a relatively unknown designer Dilara Findikoglu, the pale blue dress was paired with bronze heels. By choosing an up and coming designer for the red carpet at the Fashion Awards this played tribute to what the evening was all about.
Model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked stunning in Givenchy, the feathered V-neck gown with a tailored cape was one of the most sophisticated and well-worn dresses of the night. With her hair sleekly pulled back, Rosie practically embodied Daenerys Targaryen, Queen of Dragons and looked just as powerful, strong and beautiful while doing so.
Fran Summers initially reminded us of a circus clown but an attractive one. This Valentino gown is fun and flattering, but it takes a very brave and daring person to wear this type of dress. Fran pulls this look off so stunningly that we have to give her two thumbs up.
Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock of Little Mix in Christopher Kane – two for the price of one. Leigh-Anne Pinnock the self-proclaimed fashionista of the group wears a short embellished black dress with puffer sleeves, alongside bandmate Jade Thirlwall wearing a long black dress with matching jacket. Both looked drop-dead gorgeous while still managing to coordinate their outfits, shoes, and make up.
