The Bridges in Sunderland has recently opened a brand new and exciting way to view the latest trends and become inspired to buy new staples for your wardrobe.
And the Fashion North team has been invited to help style some looks just for you!
Currently situated outside River Island in the shopping centre, the Style Pod sheds a brand new light on the newest trends and also showcase pieces ideal for autumn/winter and the ever-changing weather.
The Style Pod installation is a collaborative project with not only retailers in the centre, but also between The Bridges and Sunderland’s Business Improvement District (BID).
The Bridges posted on their website that “Sunderland retailers are getting the opportunity to showcase their latest offerings – thanks to the installation of a unique showcase.”
The installation, which is set within glass, cycles every few weeks, in order to keep up with new arrivals from retailers or to showcase the top trends of the season.
The Style Pod features two womenswear outfits, currently styled with pieces from retailers such as New Look and River Island, as well as one menswear look which can be seen below.
And we have some exciting news!
Our third year styling students on the University of Sunderland’s fashion journalism degree course will be going over to the Bridges in the next coming weeks to style the mannequins within the Style Pods.
So make sure that you keep your eyes peeled for the brilliant outfits that they will curate, using clothes from retailers in the centre.
