Corduroy Comeback

Corduroy is back and bigger than ever! The 70s grandad texture is back in fashion, and has been seen all over the catwalks, and high-street stores this autumn/winter. This fabrication has been seen on the runways at Prada, Marc Jacobs, Isabel Marant, and Gucci.

Essentially, corduroy is a ribbed version of velvet, who knew?! Except velvet tends to steal the spotlight from its cousin, corduroy. However, make room for this trend as it is massive this year.

We have chosen some of our favourite high-street picks, so you can recreate your own cool corduroy look for yourself! Featuring lots of autumnal colours like rust, burgundy, and forest green. Or perhaps try something a little different like a shade of pink, or the colour of the season- red.

This trend has also been sported by the likes of IT girl Alexa Chung, cast members in the hit TV show Stranger Things- especially corduroy and borg jackets like the ones from Asos and Topshop.

If you’re feeling super brave why not try out a full corduroy suit and channel the likes of Gucci.
