Extra-Terrestrial inspired photoshoot at Noses Point
One of the North East’s forgotten treasures lies in the heart of Seaham Harbour. The Blast beach, now coined Noses Point, housed Dawdon mining Colliery until 1991 and left behind a barren landscape of oil slicks, orange sands and eroded rock formations. This unusual scenery peaked the interest of film-makers and resulted in the opening scenes of Alien 3 being filmed on the coastal site in 1992.
Fashion North decided to visit Noses Point and conduct our very own Alien-inspired shoot on the incredibly beautiful beach. We used on-trend metallic fabrics, holographic finishes and extra-terrestrial two pieces, our model explored the landscape as if it was her first contact with earth – and looked fabulous while doing it.
