Creative Conversations with Suzy Menkes

Suzy Menkes, OBE has been in the fashion journalism industry since the 1960s. Now the Editor of Vogue International, for 25 international editions of the magazine, she has created a podcast during lockdown, focused on in-depth interviews with other fashion creatives. The very first episode features Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Creative Director Femme of Christian Dior, which shows us we are in for a lot of high-calibre interviews with some exceptional professionals including Rosita and Margherita Missoni, Christian Louboutin, Michael Kors and Laudomia Pucci.

English fashion designer Henry Holland’s podcast zeroes in on the power of clothing. In this podcast, Henry chats with a diverse range of celebrities about their personal relationship with fashion. From Alexa Chung, who is well known in the fashion industry as a model turned fashion designer, to drag queen Gigi Goode.  If you are after a light-hearted and comedic approach, this is the podcast for you.

Dressed: The History of Fashion

Fashion historians April Calahan and Cassidy Zachary go beyond the pretty clothes to explore the origins of fashion.  This podcast delves deeper into our favourite garments and how they came to be.  The hosts of the show discuss the cultural and social history of fashion as well as examining symbolism. This podcast also asks and answers the questions we all wonder, such as: “Why are jeans called jeans?”


Ethical Fashion Podcast

UN Officer Simone Cipriani and sustainable fashion journalist Clare Press collaborate on this project to bring ethical and sustainable fashion to the attention of their listeners.  They believe in “saying goodbye to irresponsible fashion” and “doing fashion differently” in a way that is ethically correct for not just the environment but also for the benefit of fashion workers too.

The Business of Fashion Podcast

An extension of globally-known website The Business of Fashion founded by Imran Ahmed in 2007, this podcast provides advice and lessons on navigating the professional and business world of fashion, delivered by experienced and expert individuals.


The Scent Geeks

Uniquely, this podcast is all about fragrances! Self-confessed scent obsessives and Youtubers Chris and Steve converse and debate about what fragrances are trending right now, celebrity fragrance launches and letting us in on what their signature scents are, among many other fragrance related topics.  If only we could smell through the podcast!
