Fenwick Unveil 2015 Christmas Window

Hundreds of families gathered in Northumberland Street, Newcastle, on Friday night (November 6) and looked on in wonder as snow blew from the roof of Fenwick and the curtain was dropped to unveil the 2015 Christmas Window.

Children of all ages waved blue Fenwick flags as Father Christmas and two reindeer greeted the crowd.

This years display, titled Once Upon A Christmas, told the story of Santa’s sleigh crash landing onto the roof of Fenwick and the Elves having to save Santa and Christmas.

This 40-year-old window display tradition of the department store showcased 3D animated characters in traditional christmas red, gold and green colours, the story was written in old style calligraphy at the bottom of the window as a musical soundtrack played.

If you haven’t seen the display yet, head down to Northumberland Street, Newcastle. It’s guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit and have you putting up your decorations in no time!
