As the summer gradually fades into winter our wardrobes must follow. Those beautiful shorts you’ve barely taken off need to be put away. Get yourself wrapped up and kept warm in these five essential items.
Coat: With the British weather being temperamental even at the best of times, a good coat is always required. Duffle coats and trenches are the safest bets as the colder weather approaches. The thick materials insulate so you’re kept warm and looking good while wearing it.

This could be paired with or without a shirt underneath. Having one underneath would just add an extra dimension to the look.

You don’t necessarily have to use the buckle but it just stops you from having that awkward bump under your coat.
Bag: Simple backpacks are boring and it’s very hard to re-invent them in a way that doesn’t make them impractical, but Zara have managed(!) With this military inspired minimalist design (£39.99).
Not too big it weighs you down but big enough to fit your laptop/college files etc. With numerous pockets inside and outside compartments there’s room for everything.
