Thousands will brave the chaos of shoppers searching for the best discounts in the run up to Christmas, with shopping centres such as The Bridges and the Metro Centre opening as early as 7am for todays Black Friday event.
Many stores sell out on a lot of stock and it is often hard to find items of clothing in your size, however this does not discourage shoppers to go out or surf the web to get the best discounts and deals.
Beth Charlesworth, 20, said: “Although I know how busy the shops will be I will still be going shopping, the deals are too good to miss.”
Mum of two, Beverley Hunter, said: “Black Friday is the start of my Christmas shopping for the kids, I will be online from midnight trying to get the best deals.”
