How to Get the Victoria Beckham Look For Less

After being announced yesterday that Victoria Beckham is a nominee for the British Fashion Council’s Womenswear Designer of the Year award, the 41-year-old’s label is the epitome of chic, tailored style – but it’s also seriously expensive. Thankfully, the high street has taken inspiration from Beckham’s polished pieces, allowing us mere mortals to get the VB look for less.

Swap the Victoria Beckham Crystal-embellished Crepe Mini Dress (£2495) for the Topshop Embellished High Neck Skater Dress (£38).

With party season well on the way, nothing looks more stylish than a LBD – especially one with a bejewelled collar. The form fitting VB option is stunning, but the skater style Topshop dress will look a lot more flattering on a variety of figures, and is a fraction of the price.

Swap the Victoria Beckham Patchwork Fitted Dress (£2039) for the River Island Curve Print Bodycon Dress (£25)

These colour block dresses give a whole new twist to workwear. Both the Beckham and River Island offerings are the perfect pieces to take you from the boardroom to the bar.

Swap the Victoria Beckham Bow Detail Cropped Trousers (£899) for the Topshop Flannel D-Ring Peg Trousers (£40)

Scrap the jeans, and make way in your wardrobe for a pair of tan trousers. Victoria’s pair give a nod to the 70’s trend with their subtle flare and bow belt, whereas Topshop’s trousers bring the old school trend right back into the 21st century. Haven’t you heard? Tan is the new black!

Swap the Victoria Beckham Striped Cotton-Poplin Top (£550) for the Zara Striped Shirt with Kimono Sleeves (£22.99)

You can’t go wrong with a classic blue and white stripe. The VB sleeveless shirt is casual and cool, but Zara’s long sleeved offering is more suited to the Autumn/Winter season, no one wants chilly arms.

Nobody could have predicted the extent that the fashion world has embraced Mrs Beckham. Long gone are her days of zebra print and corsets, the future is streamlined and stylish. Victoria has already won a British Fashion Award (winning Designer of the Year in 2011), but she could well have another under her belt soon!
