A scarf is a classic example of a timeless garment that is essential for a winter (and, unfortunately, sometimes a summer) wardrobe.
Mainly associated with keeping your neck warm, a simple scarf can actually be much more versatile then you might think.
With so many ways to wear a scarf, even when wearing it simply around your neck, it can be difficult in choosing one to go with.
So, I’ve put together my three favourite ways of wearing a scarf that are quick, easy and, most importantly, fashionable.
LOOK ONE:
I like to go with a simple asymmetrical single wrap around the neck. For me, this way feels less stuffy and allows my outfit to remain visible.
LOOK TWO:
As someone who’s temperature goes up and down like a yo-yo, there are occasions where a scarf is necessary to keep myself from freezing, but at times can feel like too much and that I am overheating.
That is why I like to drape a scarf over my shoulders. This sort of look can be quite elegant, personally I would style a plain dress with a patterned scarf to provide a pop of colour.
LOOK THREE:
I am someone that is forever forgetting things. You would think growing up in this kind of weather would mean I always stay prepared for rain. But alas, I always forget to bring a hat, especially when I need it the most.
That is why I love utilising a scarf to protect my hair when it does rain. This way I avoid the hat hair, keep my hairstyle in tact and, of course, look cute in doing so.
