Christmas comes to the red carpet: Surviving Christmas with the Relatives world premiere

Words by Abigail Nunn

Celebrities and cast members took to the red carpet this week for the world premiere of Surviving Christmas with the Relatives, a new James Dearden comedy film.

Embracing the early Christmas spirit, the carpet was filled with a sea of red dresses.

One of the biggest fashion statements was made by Love Island’s Gabby Allen, pairing up a red leather, snake print skirt with some daring cow print boots, a patterned leather jacket and partially see-through top.

Gabby recently revealed that she was engaged to Myles Stephenson. However, she didn’t appear to be wearing the ring to the premiere. Her outfit certainly was a statement piece without a dazzling ring and managed to outshine the other ladies in red on the carpet.

Love Island seemed to take over as several of the stars from the show were present at the premiere. Tyne-Lexy Clarson, Laura Crane and Ellie Brown are to name a few.

Tyne-Lexy seemed to keep up with the red theme, contrasting both black and red. She also styled her outfit with some Ariana Grande inspired knee-high boots.

Ellie kept it safe with an elegant black dress with a red lip and heels, while Laura opted for an oversized pantsuit and coat with a red heel. Minimal red from the two.

For us, the Great British Bake Off’s Ruby Bhogal was the real show stopper. She has put away the aprons and replaced them with a stunning red dress and a very revealing leg slit.

This lady appears to be sticking to the dress code and definitely shines in ruby red.

Other outfits we’re loving – although they aren’t red – is the silky, pink ensemble from Towie’s Amber Turner, Love Island’s Amber Davies reflective deep green/gold dress, and finally the array of colours from Melody Thornton. Although, we still aren’t so sold on the socks and sandals/heels.
