We all know how much of a big trend makeup is right now and it’s no surprise that the latest craze is to have your makeup professionally done for Halloween. Girls everywhere are competing with each other to see who will look the scariest, while at the same time impressing people with their face transformation.
Ellen Wilson, 22, is a North East based makeup artist who, as well doing freelance work, is currently working at MAC. As Halloween is approaching Ellen said: ‘’I’ve noticed a lot more people wanting their makeup done for Halloween. I think it goes hand in hand with more and more people documenting their looks on Instagram too’’.
At this time of year it’s hard not to go on to Instagram and see so many makeup artists showcasing their talents of Halloween makeup and each one is more eerie than the last.
If you are thinking of booking someone to work their magic on your face this Halloween you’ll need to book soon. Ellen said: “So far I’m fully booked on Saturday 29th and I have a few slots available on Friday’’.
Halloween fanatics have been asking Ellen for all sorts of frightening looks. She said: “At first it was quite a lot of clown inspired looks, but following recent events a lot of people have backed out, preferring skulls or half and half face looks’’.
Although, if you can’t afford to pay someone to do your makeup for your spooky night out, many shops have cheap face paint you could buy and get creative with. There are also many Halloween makeup tutorials on YouTube for you to watch, which are perfect for beginners!
