Whilst the world is currently at a standstill and everyone is at home, people have turned to impulse buying online and I have definitely jumped on this trend and have become an online shopping fanatic in lockdown.
I have never been one to excessively shop online and since all shops are shut, unless essential, I have spent a lot of time browsing and scrolling to find the best buys to make me feel happy during this time of uncertainty.
Below is a list of all my favourite impulse buys that have made me more calm and positive during lockdown.
Since we are all sticking together and staying at home, the best thing to do to keep yourself happy is making sure your home environment is cosy and inviting, rather than being full of clutter.
After scrolling through pages on Pinterest, I found that aromatherapy is ideal for setting a calm atmosphere in your bedroom. This simple diffuser has made my bedroom calming and kept me happy and is now part of my bedtime routine.
It can also be used as a colour changing light, without the mist, which can also make your room feel equally as inviting!
This one from Amazon is only £23.99 and comes in two different colours to suit your room decor.
Selfcare is one of the most important parts of staying happy and calm during lockdown. With so much uncertainty and sadness around us, it is vital to take some time out of your day to make sure you are looking after yourself.
My two top buys for selfcare is the Ole Henriksen Phat Glow facial (£42) and the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright eye cream (£32). Ole Henriksen is my go-to skincare brand, as it leaves my skin feeling rejuvenated after every use!
The Phat Glow facial mask contains Nordic Birch sap which helps brighten the skin and leaves your skin glowing and bright after each use.
The Banana Bright eye cream contains Vitamin C and boosts collagen within the skin, getting rid of the puffiness around the eyes.
Like everyone else, I have been scrolling endlessly trying to find things to keep me busy in the house. However I have bought two things which have kept me occupied the most when I am feeling bored or need a pick me up.
Firstly I caved into being peer-pressured by my ‘For You’ page on TikTok and bought a Nintendo Switch Lite and Animal Crossing: New Horizons and it is one of the best lockdown buys I have made so far!
It keeps me busy and is honestly therapeutic to play, building and improving your deserted island to encourage new villagers.
Another buy which has kept me busy is getting a Disney+ subscription, which gives me endless tv shows and films I can watch to reminisce from when I was younger and I am obsessed!
