Nautical prints and washed denim are essential for this look, pair with natural skin and a beachy wave and you have transformed into a coastal cowgirl. The simplicity and effortlessness of this look are a perfect example of getting ready in a hurry and still looking great.
I also drew inspiration from the lyric “How does it feel to be the prettiest girl in country music?” by Lana Del Rey when choosing the props for this look.

This outfit mixes boxy and masculine silhouettes of the shoes and structured shorts with feminine colours and props to show how women can pull off a more typically “manly” cowboy aesthetic.
The unbuttoned vest keeps the outfit carefree and you can imagine the model being the type of girl to ride her horse through flower fields.

Adding a bold pop of colour is a guaranteed way to switch up your outfit and this cherry red shoulder bag was a perfect addition. The base of the look is a white summer dress which most people definitely have in their wardrobe. This look shows how you can easily style your simple pieces into the cowgirl aesthetic.
This outfit was also inspired by music festivals, and the need to add a quick layer to your daytime outfit as it cools down in the evening. A quick rush back to the tent to grab your jacket and you’re ready to dance the night away.

Another social media trend that is taking over TikTok is the addition of bows. Whether they are in your hair, attached to your bag or on your clothing items they are perfect to add a touch of softness to any look. The representation of bows as a hyper-feminine icon really inspired this last look. Sometimes we just want to wear something that is stereotypically “girly” and be proud.
The cowgirl trend that has influenced the whole shoot leans into outfits and textures that are more feminine and I think this outfit encapsulates that perfectly. The soft texture of the crocheted jumper and the flowy form of the skirt paired with flowers and a pink backdrop show that “girly” isn’t always a bad word.
