Recycled shoes are all the range at the moment but don’t be put off by shoes made from plastic bottles, they can still look good.

So many brands are now jumping on the bandwagon and creating their own spin on recycled, renewable and sustainable fashion. From upcycled textiles to recycled PET plastic and recycled cotton canvas blends, there really is a little bit of everything.

Tons of waste is being given a second lease of life, Converse are creating shoes from 100% recycled polyester made from used plastic bottles. They’re also using cotton canvas waste to create a 40% recycled cotton polyester yarn. Converse have promised that future seasons will explore the introduction of additional recycled blends.

This summer Converse kicked off their three-part collection by releasing their Renew Canvas range on July 5th.  The Renew Canvas range is made from recycled PET plastic bottles, some products from the range include the slogan ‘Life’s too short to waste’ (£55)
