WARNING! All shoe lovers out there, hail the fabulous new collection coming to River Island today (Thursday November 6).

The new show collection is a collaboration with Finnish born beauty, Sandra Hagelstam from blog 5 Inch & Up. While studying Design at London College of Fashion, Sandra launched her blog 5 Inch and Up in 2010 which showcases her love of stilettos and other fabulously glamorous shoes.

The six-piece collection will showcase Sandra’s signature style of clean lines, muted tones and exquisite detail and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Interesting fabrics and textures adorn some of the pieces including snake and mock croc ankle boots. Mock lacing can be found on the knee boots, ankle boots and court shoes that finish the collection.

A particular favourite of ours are these lace-up pointed court heels in nude.  A stylish must-have pair that would make the perfect finishing touch to any outfit.

In a statement released by River Island, Sandra spoke about her excitement for the new collaboration:“I am so excited and honoured to be working with River Island on this fantastic collaboration, I can’t wait to see it launch in store and online.

“I’ve aimed to design a powerful and seductive collection for strong women who understand the importance of a simplified statement shoe and I’m eager to see how women will be styling the range. It’s been a fantastic experience working with the great team of buyers and designers at River Island in creating this collection and I hope it will be as fun to wear as it has been to design the shoes.”

A How to Walk In High Heels video masterclass by Sandra will be featured on www.riverisland.com and River Island’s YouTube channel.

The 5 Inch and Up collection ranges from £80 – £185 and will be available in select River Island stores and online from Thursday November 5.
