A bold coat can be the item that completely transforms your entire outfit, wearing a distinctive design or an unusual texture will certainly display a sense of creativity and innovate an otherwise casual outfit.
Coats are an essential to battle the North-East’s cold and windy weather therefore, a stylish coat is a must! In Newcastle city centre, there were endless styles of coats with different shapes, prints, designs and colours; one of which being a pink, rib-knit puffer jacket:

The puffer coat originates from 1936 but it returned to popularity again in 2016 when luxury designer brand Balenciaga featured the puffer in their Autumn/Winter catwalk collection that same year.
This look was spotted again in the streets of Newcastle, worn by student Grace Gent, 18, who said she loves the puffer coat as it ‘suits most outfits’.

Another stand-out coat spotted in Newcastle city centre was a cropped, tartan, teddy bear coat which has been a winter favourite since last year.
This style of coat has lasted multiple seasons as its cuddly embrace became a token for the Instagram influencer’s feed. The teddy bear coat has been spotted on endless fashion gurus including, Sarah Ashcroft.
