What to wear and buy to support this year’s Children in Need

CiN1

This Friday (November 14) will mark the 34th anniversary of Britain’s Children in Need television broadcast, and here at Fashion North we’ve been thinking of ways to raise a little money ourselves for the popular cause.

If you don’t mind dressing up perhaps in a pair of Pudsey ears or even better – sporting your favourite onesie (like George at Asda’s for women), this might be the perfect way for you to donate. If you’re not that good at baking cakes to raise money or haven’t simply got the time to take part in charitable events then look to your high street for inspiration.

Britain’s high streets never fail to let us down, and with so many retailers and even bakeries this year getting involved you might be spoilt for choice on what you want to wear for this fun-loving organisation.

Fashion North have selected some of our favourite pieces from the high street for you to buy right now – just in time for you to watch the show itself this Friday and possibly donate a few more pennies to this ever so helpful charity.

Calling all Henry Holland fans – if you’re stuck on what to buy your kids maybe for this cause then why not look to the designer’s adorable Paint by Numbers white t-shirt? From sizes two to 10, every penny of the £6.30 you spend on this shirt will go to Children in Need.

If you’re more of a fan of Fearne Cotton then you’ll adore her small but sweet collaboration with Boots. Her Children in Need Fearne Bear (£6.00) in a beautiful grey to match her Fearne Pudsey Ears (£2.50) will have you standing out from the yellow crowd.

If you’re not a fan of novelty items then why not buy a cosy pair of slippers whilst out this week? Budget-friendly retailer Shoe Zone are selling Pudsey slippers (£7.99) for adults in an authentic bright yellow complete with the popularly known e ye-patch.

So whatever you fancy sporting this Friday, be confident that, for perhaps once in a while, your shopping habit is helping Children in Need every step of the way.

Shopping for clothes and accessories doesn’t seem so bad when it’s for a good cause, right?
