What better way to kick-start the week than by scrolling through endless photos from the 65th Annual Grammy Awards?
Held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the 2023 event brought us not only incredible musical talent – with the likes of icon Beyoncé making Grammy history with her now holding 32 Grammy awards – but fascinating outfits as well.
It’s no secret that every year there’s always certain outfits that draw more attention – and perhaps more controversy – than others and it’s quite clear as to the reason why.
Sally Minns, fashion stylist, said: “I love beautifully simplistic designs, the craftsmanship of these pieces speak for themselves, but I’m also here for the big and bold.
“I thought Lizzo looked absolutely beautiful, I preferred her cape when it was draped on her shoulders rather than around her head. One of my favourite outfits of the night was worn by Cardi B as I feel like she got the balance just right and looked amazing.
“There’s no limits at big award shows and I’m here for it. Roll on the Met.”
With that said. let’s take a closer look at some of this year’s bold ensemble:
Lizzo certainly knows how to get people talking with her orange Dolce and Gabbana opera coat. The singer was ladened with flowers and Swarovski as she stepped onto the red carpet, referencing Miley Cyrus’ new song in her Instagram post. This girl can definitely buy her own flowers.
Ruby red is definitely having it’s moment at the minute and we’re here for it. Armed with a Valentino design, Sam Smith, alongside Kim Petras, truly brought out their unholy side with a striking red piece. The oversized coat paired with the lace adorned top hat and cane, while rather theatrical, make the ultimate combo as they prepared to take home the Grammy for best pop duo. This singer isn’t here to make friends; they’re here to make a statement.
What a work of art! Designed by Gaurav Gupta from his Spring 2023 haute-couture collection, this electric blue design is sculpted to give a futuristic feel. Let’s be honest, it’s out of this world.
Polka dot mania met the red carpet as Shania Twain donned a Harris Reed suit with a matching bell hat that was arguably the most extravagant accessory worn. While her hair may have planned ahead to coordinate with the carpet, the black and white outfit was born to stand out.
It wouldn’t be right to not mention Harry Styles – he did, after all, win best pop vocal album, and rightly so! His harlequin style jumpsuit didn’t waste any time clowning around as it showed off thousands of Swarovski crystals, while Harry of course showcased his tattoos as he opted for nothing underneath.
