Sephora has announced it’s coming to the North East in Autumn 2024, with one store opening up in Eldon Square and another in the Metro Centre. Previous to this expansion, Sephora only had two locations in the UK, both being in London and were opened in 2023.

The famous retailer carries hundreds of beauty and skincare brands many of which are new to the UK as well! So this will be the first opportunity that North East beauty lovers will have had to purchase a number of well-known international brands, the amount of choices and options on our doorstop is enough to make anyone excited!

Fashion North spoke to makeup lover and beauty department store worker Georgia Pickerell to get her thoughts on the new stores and how this will affect the overall beauty community in the area.
Along with making beauty and skincare products more accessible to North East consumers, the Sephora stores are likely to create a large number of jobs and create a buzz and excitement for the two respective shopping centres, inciting people to come in and shop! Interviewee Georgia predicts that opening day will be particularly busy and electrifying in the city.
