The clocks have gone back, the nights are darker and Tesco is selling Christmas chocolates. It can only mean one thing: the countdown to Christmas is here. In any other year we would be starting to fill our diaries with plans for the festive period. Though the party season will look very different this year, it doesn’t mean you can’t make the best of a bad situation and invest in some more glamorous face coverings.
Here at Fashion North we’ve chosen some of our favourite budget party face masks, to ensure you stay safe whilst looking great. Most of the masks shown here cost between £2-£4, with the most expensive being £7.
Satin masks are a great option if you want both versatility and comfort. They feel so luxuriously soft on your face that you’ll soon want to only wear silk and satin masks! There are so many options to choose from, but boohoo is a good place to start, with lots of different colours and patterns available. Keep it simple with dusty pink (£2.70) or mix it up a little with the polka dot mask (£4). If you want more for your money, go for a pack of two satin masks in navy and black for just £3.
Animal prints have been everywhere this year, and it seems they’re not going anywhere just yet. Whatever your choice of print – whether it be snake, leopard, cow or zebra – you can find plenty of choice online. In terms of budget options, Nasty Gal has lots of prints perfect for a socially distant soiree. Some of our favourites are the zebra (£2) and cheetah (£2.50) masks, but our top pick would have to be the classic leopard print mask (£2).
Extra glitz sadly comes with a higher price tag, but there’s still a good number of options available for under £10. For sequin-lovers, Shein is offering a four pack for £5.49, which includes a colour for every occasion. You could also try PrettyLittleThing’s reflective mesh mask (£6) or a black iridescent stone mask (£7), which are both perfect for adding extra glitz to your look.
