Welcome to Beyond Fashion North episode three. In this podcast Lauren Kennedy, Caitlin Cooney, Corie-lea Brewer and Erin Abdulla discuss different topics ranging from the royal wedding, engagements, beauty advent calendars, all things retro and our favourites of the week.
On Friday, October 12, 2018, Princess Eugenie of York married Jack Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. Princess Eugenie wore an elegant wedding dress designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos of British-based label Peter Pilotto.
The low back of the dress was requested by Princess Eugenie who had surgery at age 12 to correct scoliosis. She told ITV: “I think you can change the way beauty is, and you can show people your scars and I think it’s really special to stand up for that.”
Inspired by this, fashion model Martha Hunt took to social media on Sunday to show off her own scoliosis scar in a backless dress.
