Controversial or curious: the Grammy awards 2019

By Piper Paterson

Many stars hit the red carpet in Los Angeles California at The Staples Centre last night for the annual 61st Grammy awards.

Revealing their outfits for the night, some were considered to be more controversial while others were said to be pretty curious.

Here at Fashion North, we have put together some of our favourite looks from the night.

Kylie Jenner arrived at the show in a pale purple jumpsuit, with marigolds that went on for days up and around her shoulders. It’s unique that’s for sure.

Hennessy Carolina went bold and beautiful, but a little short. Did she forget her trousers?

Shawn Mendes arrives in standard formal clothing, looking as dapper as ever.

We have to say one of the most controversial outfits of the night was worn by Ricky Rebel as he rocked up in an interesting choice of clothing with a jacket supporting America’s president Donald Trump.

Along with Joy Villa in her ‘build the wall’ dress, with her ‘make America great again’ bag.

Back to the bold and beautiful, rapper Cardi B turned up in a frilled pink and black ensemble resembling an oyster. We kind of love it.

Korean superstar group BTS arrived in matching black suits looking very swarve. We’re loving the colourful hair.
