David Beckham Bodywear Collection for H&M

The Beckham brand is expanding once again, as David is following in his wife’s footsteps and producing his own menswear line.

The one-man brand is no stranger to forays in fashion. His underwear line, established in 2012 for H&M, is hugely successful. He has helped design a range for Belstaff, as well as sportswear ranges for Adidas.

The 39-year-old sports star has been seen leaving the premises of Li & Fung’s offices, which is the parent company of Global Brands who look after more than 350 big names such as Calvin Klein, Michael Kors accessories line and Coach.

Beckham is set to go into partnership with entrepreneur Simon Fuller, a long-time associate of the Beckhams. Fuller has helped to establish Victoria’s eponymous line, which has recently won best brand at the British Fashion Awards.

Womens Wear Daily reported that the new brand will capitalise on, “Beckham’s star power and status as one of the world’s most famous sports and style icons”, whilst harnessing Fuller’s “deep understanding of consumers, talent, and sports and entertainment rights”.

It is rumoured that the menswear line will be focussing on sportswear, of which the launch date has yet to be confirmed, so what this space. The Beckham’s are taking over our wardrobes one piece of apparel at a time.
