Emily Ratajkowski’s insta-worthy style moments

This week model, actress and activist Emily Ratajkowski announced that shes expecting her first child with husband Sebastian McClard. The model took to Instagram to annouce the news with a digital Vogue magazine showing Emily flaunting her bump, alongside the photoshoot she wrote a touching essay on pregnancy and gender.

Emily Ratajkowski is one of the most recognisable models of recent years, with over 29 millions Instagram followers, her social media is a visual diary of her style. From her collaborations with fashion brands such as Nasty Gal, to her glamourous red carpet looks or effortless street-style, the 29-year-old’s style is always a talking point.

To celebrate her pregnancy, Fashion North have taken a look back at some of her most memorable fashion moments and what we can expect from her pregnancy style.

Emily is no stranger to the red carpet, over the years she has sported some iconic looks, from her ‘Little red ridding hood’ inspired gown for the Vanity Fair Oscars after party in 2018. The red gown was custom Zac Posen, the curve hugging corset and draped hood is inspired by old Hollywood styles.

The annual Met Gala is a regular event in Emily’s calendar, over the years she has been dressed by a range of designers but one that stands out is her 2019 Cher inspired naked dress. The custom Dundas design sparkled from head-to-toe, with a full bodice cut out and an open back, it embodied the 2019 Met Gala theme “Camp: Notes to Fashion”.

Her style often centres around previous trends and style icons. For the Vanity Fair after party in 2020, the sleek two-piece was inspired by the supermodel era of the 90s. The matching white cropped tube-top and skirt was simple yet Emily made a statement at the annual Hollywood party.

On the streets of her home town, New York, Emily is often spotted on the streets looking chic and effortless. Her model off-duty vibe of simple wardrobe essentials looks so good on her. Some of her most worn looks involve oversized blazers, jeans and heeled boots, the casual yet powerful outfit reflects her daily style.

No one pulls of casual throw-on style like Emily. On the streets she’s seen doing her daily tasks wearing matching tracksuits styled with oversized jackets and sneakers. The simple style is often seen on other models, such as Bella Hadid, and it goes on to inspire so many of us to wear these styles out and about.

Since announcing her pregnancy in late October, her Instagram feed has been flooded with her early months of pregnancy style, from rocking her Nasty Gal collaboration collection to flaunting her bump in a bodycon black maxi dress. We can’t wait to see how her style develops over the coming months and for all the street-style we will be seeing over on her Instagram.
