Battersea Cats and Dogs home currently houses 64 dogs and 36 cats, who rely heavily on the care of those working there and donations of the public to keep the charity running. In order to raise money for the animal currently housed there, the dogs paraded down a canine only catwalk in couture collars and coats.
Now in its tenth year, the Gala was attended by 750 guests from stars across the industry, who brought with them their four-legged friend. Designers have come together to produce collars and coats for pooches to parade down the ‘dog walk’.
Having designed for royalty, a favourite of Kate Middleton, British born Jenny Packham used her own dog as inspiration for her black and white sequinned coat design with a frill running around the edges.

The bespoke coat we created for the wonderful @battersea Collars and Coats Auction in celebration of their 10th Anniversary, modelled by Daisy the Staffie and photographed by @rankinarchive XJP The auction is live now, link in bio #jennypackham #batterseadogshome #coatsandcollars
Modeled by 11-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Daisy, we have found a bargain alternative from Pets at Home. With the same on-trend, black and white houndstooth design, at only £12 this coat is able to be purchased in a variety of sizes, for a variety of breeds.
World-renowned Vivienne Westwood couldn’t resist getting her own paws dirty for this cause, producing a coat that reflects pieces from her previous collections. With a contemporary camo print, 5-year-old Bichon Frise Gemma looks every bit the punk pup.
Always a pleasure working with @Battersea_ 📷🐶💙

With a fur hood, this Mod inspired fishtail parka from Poochie Fashion is perfect for dogs just as trendy as their owners. Camouflaged among the coat is a leash hole, allowing for a harness to be worn underneath. The double quilted fabric with an interior fleece lining is ideal to keep your pet protected from the rain and cold of the winter months. Completing the look is the option to purchase the matching lead, bandana, harness, and collar.
Opting for a more ‘every day’ look, designer LuLu Guinness has produced a bandana to funk up the fur.
