Get dressed with Debenhams: How to style a lunch date outfit

Outfit details: Red Coat- £45, Printed Blouse- £39, Trousers- £40, all Nine by Savannah Miller. Bag- £22, Faith.

We went for a dressy approach to a typical dinner date. A look that can be dressed up or down depending on the event. The brand focused on small bursts of colour throughout this seasonal collection. Firstly we selected a basic, black trouser with a self-belt. We paired the trousers with a printed blouse. The pattern on the blouse was very intricate using a range of colours to create a striking pattern against the sheer black fabric. We personally loved the slight bursts of blue, red and green tones used on the print, enabling the item to come to life visually. We decided to tuck the blouse into the trouser to create a more formal look, however by untucking the blouse a more casual look can be achieved. We wanted to create a contrast between both garment, by using the dark trouser against the print it enabled the colours to really pop and become more appealing. Taking the weather into consideration, we paired the outfit with a red coat. The coat completes the overall look, adding more colour to the outfit. A small, black bag accessory was added to the finished piece.
