The Newcastle teen wore a black and pink Sherri Hill dress, makeup by Newcastle makeup artist Diva Dust and wore her blonde hair in loose waves as she was crowned Miss Junior Teen Great Britain 2015.
Harriotte, who spoke exclusively to Fashion North, said: “Winning the title is just amazing, it still hasn’t sunk in. I squealed again when I woke up and saw the crown on the bedside!”
The two day competition saw fun team building games and a pyjama party with pizza and cupcakes in the evening on the first day, with rehearsals, learning a dance routine and interviews with the judging panel during the second day; followed by the grand final in the evening.
The 14-year-old, who has worked with some of the most successful photographers, makeup artists and clothing brands in the North East, has been heavily involved in a variety of charity and fashion events in the lead up to the finals.
Harriotte goes on to say: “I feel proud to be chosen to represent all the hard work of this years finalists, as a team we have raised over £16,000 for Together for Short Lives which is proof of the amazing impact pageants can have, as well as the confidence and friendship most girls gain. I can’t wait to see what opportunities 2016 brings as Miss Junior Teen Great Britain.”
Independently raising £3260 for Together For Short Lives, Harriotte managed to raise a grand total of £8900 for her work with various charities, in which she has taken part in abseiling, packing bags and working with the Children’s Hospice as part of the fundraising.
The teen has also been busy juggling modelling in fashion shows for Love Niche and Mao Couture, as well as walking on the catwalks for other local designers including Georgia Madge, Melissa Obika and Chorley Wood.
Sarah Lane, Harriotte’s very proud mother, said: “She is so proud, she worked hard and right now she is the proof that hard work pays off”.
As well as being overall winner, Harriotte also won Miss Teen Charity, Miss Publicity, Miss Popularity and Best In Interview, with the interview counting towards 50 per cent of the scores.
A big congratulations from everyone at Fashion North!
