The Weeknd is to collaborate with H&M as part of their #HMSpringIcons campaign next year.
The high street brand announced on their Instagram page early this morning through a series of teasing images that they will be collaborating with the Toronto-born artist for a collection due to be released on March 2, 2017.
Whilst most details of the collaboration are being kept under wraps, H&M have revealed that the collection will feature pieces handpicked by The Weeknd – who will also be landing in Newcastle with his Starboy World Tour in the same month.
The Weekend – real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye – already has his own clothing brand, XO, which he sells through his tours and merchandise stores, and it is thought similar designs will feature heavily in this campaign.
The ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ star follows in the footsteps of stars such as David Beckham, who has created three Essentials lines for the brand.
On Tuesday morning he posted the news through his own Instagram page, stating that he was “excited” to be working on the campaign.
