Take a step into the Narnia world of fashion as Moschino showcased their A/W collection.
The runway was like an Icelandic wonderland, with floors shiny like white ice, ever green trees sprinkled with snow with cool blue lighting as snowflakes floated down from the ceiling.
Moschino is an Italian luxury fashion house, founded in 1983 by the late Franco Moschino (1950–1994). The brands most iconic looks to date, which everyone seems to remember, was its bright pink woman’s Barbie inspired pieces from the SS15 collection, and the McDonalds inspired fast food pieces from AW 14.
The brand is known for its flamboyant pieces, bright colours and the overuse of the Moschino logo printed across their clothes.
So, naturally we were excited to see what weird and wonderful garments the Men’s A/W 15 collection would bring.
The show began with outlandish patchwork of colours draped over the models, complimented with chunky ski boots. Fur was present throughout the collection, donned on boots, hats backpacks and jackets.
Fox tails were attached to accessories such as belts, bags and hats to give an Icelandic / Scandinavian feel to the collection. Denim was also present within the collection, with oversized jeans and denim pocket incorporated into the fur coats. The models looked fresh faced with dewy natural skin.
As the collection continued, it began to showcase some monochrome on the wild side, with dalmatian, leopard and zebra print
The brown fur boots turned black with leather straps flaunting the Moschino logo in gold.
Bright sky blues, neon oranges, metallic silvers, on various adaptations of ski attire were inevitable, I mean come on, its Moschino! Bright floral prints always made an appearance contrasting against the on cheque printed trousers and jackets.
The silver soon turned to gold towards the end of the collections, which all glistened thought the falling synthetic snow.
If you’re going skiing this year then Moschino has definitely got you covered, if not, then the Italian brand predicts lots of fur and flamboyant colours for you to wear in the fall.
