To complement the usual vibrant garments seen on the Roberta Einer runway, a gigantic floral backdrop was used. In the middle of the huge room was a very autumnal themed bouquet of the most beautiful flowers, arranged of course by Rebel Rebel florist.
We were getting very Scottish vibes from this year’s AW collection with all the amazing different combinations of colours used on their tartan fabrics. One look which stood out was the fairly traditional blood red and royal blue tartan, plunging V-neck cape dress with bat sleeves. The garment was embellished with small ruby red flowers around the cuffs of the sleeves and was paired with baby blue diamond scattered booties.
We were swamped with various different belts during this collection; almost every look was complete with one. We saw neon green, hot pink and brown belts which were either wrapped tightly around the waist or tied and left to hang between the legs.
In the beauty department, we saw hair bows that perfectly matched the belts worn by the models. When it came to makeup, it was kept natural and simple; a slight brown tint was added to the eyes.
There may have been a little bit of inspiration from Kim K within this collection as we saw cycling shorts gracing the runway. However, we didn’t see plain old spandex; no, instead we saw black, just above the knee length shorts with a sparkling silver overlay. Again we were delighted to see the beautiful tartan fabric, this time draped over the right shoulder and tucked into a bronze leather belt.
The most prominent look for us was the ankle length unconventional miss matched coloured gown. If you imagine the colours of a rainbow, this dress had more. The garment, which is made from chiffon, has the most beautiful pastel colour pallet. We could see ultramarine, pale pink, rose and turquoise. This startling dress was also paired with a bronze belt and finished off with royal blue jewel earrings and barely there heels.
