A charity catwalk featuring Miss Junior Teen County Durham is being held to support two little boys from the North East— Bradley Lowery and Oliver Osborn— who are both battling life threatening illnesses.

The event will take place on Sunday November 23 from 7.00pm till 9.30pm at Easington Social Welfare Centre, Seaside Lane, Easington Colliery.

Three-year-old Bradley Lowery, from Blackhall, was diagnosed with stage four high risk Neuroblastoma — a rare childhood cancer — in January 2013. Because Neuroblastoma has a relapse rate of up to 80% and there is no relapse treatment available in the UK, Bradley’s family set up a fundraising campaign to raise £500,000 for treatment abroad should he relapse.

Eighteen-month-old Oliver, from Peterlee, has migrating partial epilepsy which can see him suffer up to 100 seizures a day. A fundraising campaign to help pay for the specialist equipment needed to give the little boy the best life possible, and for research into Oliver’s condition is ongoing.

The event’s organiser, Amy McKenna, from Peterlee, has known Bradley since he was born.

The 27-year old, who has her own skincare, cosmetic and wellness business, Arbonne International, said: “I wanted to do something different that hasn’t been on locally. I also wanted to do something that people would benefit from so I thought a fashion and beauty event would be perfect.”

Arbonne International products, which have been featured in Hello magazine, will be used on the models at the event, and available to purchase.

She added: “Local businesses were keen to sponsor a table and donate a raffle. We are over the moon with the donations received. This event wouldn’t be possible without the support from local businesses who are also providing services on the evening such as hair stylists, makeup artists and sound technicians.”

In addition to the fashion show, there will also be:

Clothing sale, Christmas stalls, beauty sale, pamper treatments, make-up consultations and demonstrations, manicures, live music, comedians, wine tasting with “A Vine night in”, the chance to win some amazing prizes in the raffle and much more.

Tickets are only £10 each and guests will receive a cupcake and drink upon arrival.

If you can’t make it to the Fashion show but would like to made a donation you can do so through by visiting:
