Paris Fashion Week AW15: Chloé

Paris Fashion Chloe

The 60s and 70s immediately dominated Chloé’s AW15 collection, featuring substantial flares and floor length mod coats, Clare Waight Keller took us on a journey through one of the most memorable fashion eras.

The collection boasted femininity as models strutted down the catwalk to the beat of Maximum Joy – Silent Street; what better way to celebrate International Women’s Day?

Floaty maxi dresses and low V-necks were at the height of this collection, outlining the double wrapped, skinny charcoal black scarves tied around the models necks.

Tassels were also a popular choice for Chloé this season, as they hung down from garments, drawing attention to the models waists and hands. However, mini sleeveless waistcoats rested over the more subtle designs creating successful colour blocking.

The hippie vibe was eminent throughout, especially when the multi-coloured patchwork dress made its way down the catwalk, with an array of tangerine oranges and crosshatching black and white, this was certainly one of the main statement pieces.

Double denim also made an appearance, yet, not in the indigo shade expected, like the Chloé SS15 collection, but in popular duck egg blue.

Velvet, lace and fur were all important elements of this AW collection, although, lets not forget the sandy beige, snake print high-waisted shorts and the belted, V-neck dress, which rested over a corn silk white chiffon shirt.

The models natural looking faces all complimented their outfits exceedingly well and, even though accessories were kept minimal, the small, hand-held leather satchel bags finished this seasons looks perfectly.
