Paris Fashion Week: Loewe AW15

JW Anderson is back with a bang for the Loewe AW15 show at Paris Fashion Week.

The collection stood out against the natural, stripped back set which reflects the organic vibe of an industrial environment, which ultimately drew more attention to the bright colours and quirky fabrics of the designs.

All models wore large tinted sunglasses, with minimal make-up and neat, slicked back, hair swept into a small low ponytail.

The collection took an alternative twist to Anderson’s first season for the brand in his SS15 womenswear line, where the looks appeared to be more tailored and natural with earthy colours and fabrics. This season, the influence of the electric 80s is prominent with the bright metallic and graphic mac designs.

Pastel shades were also featured in some of the looks, including duck-egg blue, lemon yellow, mint green and lilac shades, which were donned on mac jackets, wide-leg trouser co-ords and funnel neck jumpers.

A series of brightly coloured and graphic print mini skirts were also featured, paired with low-cut knit blouses with a fitted funnel neck top underneath and knee-high leather heeled boots, a look which brings the 60s to mind. JW Anderson explains: “We went tougher on accessories. It’s winter so you want something more robust”, which is what his second season for the brand certainly delivers, almost every look featured a small handbag and a quirky belt that brought the looks to life.

Overall, JW Anderson brought yet another impressive collection to the Loewe brand for autumn/winter, and has continued to inspire his Loewe woman with chic winter fashion.
