Ready, teddy, go! The fluffiest trend of the season

Winter is officially settled here in the North East which means a ridiculous amount of layering and lots of big, fluffy jackets to keep warm. One of the biggest trends is back this season but it has transitioned into other clothing pieces – this is known as the teddy bear or borg trend.

For cute and cosy vibes all winter, the teddy bear coat is your must-have outerwear piece. However, Lounge has taken the trend to a new level by launching teddy Joggers and hoodies which will be keeping us all warm this season. Since 2nd of December when they were released they have nearly sold out by popular demand. They are designed to feel soft to touch with a relaxed fit. They feature a Lounge branded waistband which feels comfortable and creates a flattering shape. These are the perfect cosies whether if you are having a relaxing evening at home or heading to uni, they will keep you warm at all times.

It was then soon announced that Kim Kardashian West had followed in the paw prints of the trend with her new collection ‘Skims’ which launched the 9th December. The range features tank tops, shorts, pants and a robe all available in four tonal colorwaves: Bone, Dusk, Cocoa and Onyx. All her products quickly sold out after she released her loungewear. I mean can you blame everyone for wanting a piece?

Her range is perfect for an evening at home. On the other hand, it isn’t so perfect for our credit cards with some of the pieces from the range including a robe for $128 and a pair of trousers for $88. I will definitely be pulling out that student loan for her collection! Skims is a big success for Kim by designing her very own lounge collection and will only grow with time but for now, she is embracing the teddy trend in full swing.
