After being appointed women’s creative director a whole year ago, Rihanna will finally debut her new collection with sports brand Puma, next season at New York Fashion Week.
The pop-star released the news without a fuss earlier this week, by tweeting a link to an auction which offered front row tickets to the event which will showcase her Rihanna by Puma collection.
The link directed her followers to an auction for the Diamond Ball on Paddle8, where bids were starting at $15,000, meaning that normal folk will most likely have to miss out on the event.
Despite this, the high bids are all for a good cause – a percentage of the profits from the auction will go to her charity, the Clara Lionel Foundation, which helps support artistic and cultural education all over the world.
If you missed out on the tickets, other prizes were also available to bid on, such as: every piece in her collection, a signed pair of her sold-out Creepers and an after show backstage pass.
If her previous collections for brands such as River Island, which showcased at London Fashion Week back in 2013 are anything to go off, her forthcoming collection for Puma will no doubt be a huge success.
After swooning over her Rihanna by Puma Creepers earlier in the year, we can’t wait to see what the rest of her collection has to offer!
