Style tips: accessorise for summer

Accessories are the easiest and most affordable way to spice up any outfit giving it that extra flare. Especially with festival season being underway these accessories are key to add to your wardrobe and stay on trend. Here are our top 4 summer accessory trends that are flying off the shelves this season:

1. Fluffy Slides – whether you love them or hate them, you have to admit they are definitely a show stopper. Thanks to Rihanna’s incredible collaboration with Puma, her FentyXPuma slides have taken off and quickly become all the rage, with high street stores jumping on the fluffy slide train to create an affordable range for you to wear. Stores such as Primark have an amazing collection for under £10 with pearls and jewels so your feet will never look dull again. These are a must have for your holiday wardrobe.2. Bum/belt bags – a festival must. The bum bag is a classic trend that comes back into style over and over again. They are available in so many different patterns and colours that you will never get bored of pairing them with your festival looks. They are the perfect size to hold your everyday essentials and give you the hands free experience so that you can carry on with your day without the worries. River Island are currently my favourite store for grabbing this hot summer trend, with bum bags for £22-£50, their range incorporates all of our favourite trends: embroidery, pompoms and sparkle.

3. Round Sunglasses – will round sunglasses ever go out of style? We hope not. They are the perfect accessory that anyone can wear and they are so easy to get your hands on. Primark has an enormous range of sunglasses and round sunnies are no exception. They come in gold, bronze, silver, gunmetal, pink, green and the list is endless. The price is the best part, £1, yes this does mean you can have a different pair for every day of the week. You can even DIY this trend to give some extra sparkle to your outfit by adding jewels around the edges to give it your own twist.4. Jewellery Stacking – finally the easiest and most simple trend of all. Get out all of your chokers and favourite necklaces that looked far too simple on their own and pair them together to glam up any outfit. This trend looks especially stunning with a Bardot or open neck top. If you ever worry about your chest looking a little bare try pairing your favourite simple choker with a couple of longer necklaces to fill in the space and make any outfit trendy.
