Beamish Events officer, Paul Foster said: “Our Halloween evenings are spooktacular! Tickets are snapped up within days of going on sale and we have terrifying treats in store – there are ghosts, ghouls and gremlins around every corner.  Our staff really enjoy wearing Halloween costumes and we’re always amazed by the fantastic outfits visitors come up with for the event.”

Your usual Beamish surroundings such as the Town, Pit Village, Pockerley Waggonway and Pockerley Old Hall will all undergo a very frightening make-over for the event to transport you back in time with the un-living.

No matter what age you are, don’t be afraid to join in with the spooky festivities. Arrive in your Halloween costume to enter a fancy dress competition and get involved in activities such as braving the trick or treat houses and taking a moment within the chaos to sit back and enjoy escapologist, Chris Cross’ famous performance at the Town Bandstand. There’s something for everyone of every age and it’s sure a night not to be missed!
