The £1 million, heart warming sequel to last year’s tear jerking two-minute video has been released and it is totally adorable.
The video is supposed to evoke the magic of make-believe at Christmas, and that it does.
The friendship between a young boy and a penguin is completely unbelievable, yet at Christmas time we all feel the love as we watch the story unfold.
As the pair watch Pingu together, play with lego and sledge down snowy hills, there is something on little Monty’s mind – he wants a little love at Christmas. With John Lennon’s song Real Love sung beautifully by Tom Odell in the background of the advert, you build up a sense of magic and believe that this could be real. It brings out the child in you. At the end you see the young boy present a new penguin Mabel to make Monty’s Christmas wish come true.
