Wintour wore McQueen menswear (Zara do it better)

As Editor-in-chief of American Vogue, Anna Wintour is often called the “gatekeeper of the fashion world” with access to thousands of pounds’ worth of free clothes from any designer on speed dial.

But that doesn’t always ensure that she is the most stylish woman in the room.

We give that award to And Just Like That / Sex and City star Sarah Jessica Parker at the opening night of her Broadway play Plaza Suite where she turned up in a gorgeous princess pink Prabal Gurung gown.

Anna, meanwhile, arrived at the event in an Alexander McQueen mens’ tuxedo coat, embellished  on the lapels and sleeves, accessorised with winter boots and her signature sunglasses. As if the coat didn’t have enough going on, she added her own massive blue broach.

Maybe she just didn’t want to pull focus from SJP on her big night?

But frankly we reckon this £349 dupe from Zara would have been more stunning at a fraction of the price of Sarah Burton’s autumn/winter 2022 design.
