The corset I have designed is inspired by the early Victorian era. I have decided to use the hourglass shape to accentuate the curves on the body. To bring the early corset design to the 21st century, I have created a suit design corset. This was influenced by Balenciaga’s women’s runway looks. I have raised the shoulders to make them look more prominent and to break up the top half of the corset, the sleeves have been elongated to have a more relaxed drapey look.
