Lady Gaga has a reputation for some outstanding and unusual looks and she pulled it off again on the night of this year’s Met Gala, blowing us away with four outfit changes.
This year’s theme was Camp: Notes On Fashion and celebrities took to it well, surprising us with many different and original styles and outfits. For us though, it was Lady Gaga who stole the show.
She entered wearing Brandon Maxwell’s voluminous, pink cape dress with a bow and a 25-foot train and exaggerated golden eyelashes, while dancers wielded umbrellas around her as she made her way up the stairs.
Maxwell then unzipped the first look to reveal a corseted black ball gown dress underneath, before shocking us again with a bright, barbie pink, form fitting dress with Linda Farrow sunglasses and a Tiffany and Co. butterfly necklace. She further accessorised with a 90s style phone, referencing her song, Telephone, while her hairstylist sprayed her hair with hairspray.
Last, but not least, the big reveal of Gaga’s last surprise: she stripped down to crystal underwear, fishnet tights and platform boots and crawled up the stairs.
Her outfits were gorgeous, elegant and stunning which shocked us – but what else do we expect from Gaga. She has stuck with a theme of either wearing black or pink to the Met Gala for the last couple of years but tonight she brought both and turned the Met Gala into Met Gaga.
