How to style: scarves

Here at Fashion North, we have been incorporating patterned scarves into our everyday, current looks. We took inspiration from today’s popular trends with pieces that you most likely have in your wardrobe already and created three new looks for you to try!

One way to style your good old teddy bear coat is with none other than a matching teddy bear scarf!

We embraced the tan and brown colour scheme of the classic coat colour by selecting a scarf with small teddy bear graphics printed on a light nude colour.

Instead of draping the scarf around her neck, we tied it around her hair in a high pony-tail. This is an alternative way to re-vamp and old style to something unique and current.

STYLE TIP: Tie your hair up with a bobble first! This will secure that your hair stays in place when you tie the scarf around it. If you prefer this style would also look great with a bun.

Another way you can style your scarf is by using it as a belt. Replace your standard belt with a bright scarf that coordinates with your chosen outfit and weave it through the belt loop twisted or folded – both look great!

The final way you can spice up your casual look is by tying your scarf around your wrist. You may have already seen stars such as Pia Mia wearing this look. If you’re a fan, here’s how you can do it too.

STYLE TIP: This works best with contrasting patterns and colours. Eve wore black and white so we chose a vibrant red to make this look pop.
