Opening the show with a violin meets techno instrumental, viewers must have expected the wonderfully elegant, quirky exhibition that was the showcase of JOSEPH AW:17.

Who knew that pairing an oversized knitted jumper with some eye-popping, tailored red trousers would create a look to floor all? Joseph, that’s who. Could the pop of colour be an emerging trend coming this AW? Complementing the tailored, monochrome coat – the memorable red boot both allows the black and white garment to look spectacular on the runway, without letting the importance of footwear go amiss.
Joseph Fashion dominated the runway with it’s high-neck, big statement pieces. Joseph specialises in taking something simple and making it look effortlessly fashionable, this is perfectly demonstrated through the use of this oversized, Khaki Jumpsuit paired with an understated leather satchel.
Continuing with the popular trend of ‘Flute Sleeves’, Joseph has done what they do best and put a modern twist on the trumpet sleeve classic – tying in with the feminine, tailored vogue; Joseph has added cufflinks, to create a new look entirely.
However, not everything in life can be flawless… including the Joseph AW2017 Collection – perhaps taking too much of a risk with this pattern-play floral mix-match, it seems this possible emerging trend of ‘casino carpet florals’ may be taking to the world of fashion. Personally, I’m not a fan, but who’s to say that the Fashionista’s of today won’t welcome this bizarre look with open arms.
