An array of handcrafted patchwork flourished throughout Christopher Bailey’s autumn/winter 15 collection, which was ideally named, Patchwork, Pattern & Prints.

The catwalk, held in a marquee in Kensington, the opening look was a vibrant, peacock turquoise, fringed poncho paired with a matching fringe bag; bringing bohemian to the catwalk. To create Bailey’s crafty vision, models wore paisley print maxi dresses in teal, blossom and olive, which were paired with small waistcoats embellished with similar patterns, this bohemian influence shows a strong indication to the return of the 70s.

Floral and leopard print were both hugely incorporated into the collection, each patten displayed on traditional Burberry trench coats, with a boho-chic twist of clashed floral quilting. A sheepskin trench with leopard patterning stole the show, and leopard print clutch and tote bags are featured throughout.

Craftsmanship is displayed through a tan, suede fringed, calf length cape-dress and a similar style skirt, matching fringed bucket bags were also featured throughout the outfits.

Burberry introduced a monogrammed scarf in classic checked print; a must-have accessory for when the weather gets cold again.

The most desired part of the show were the shoes that paraded the catwalk; suede tasseled black ankle boots and thigh-high boots with teal and cocoa patchwork detail.

The frow included Kate Moss, Jourdan Dunn, Sam Smith and Cara Delevingne. Cara wore the suede patchwork thigh-high boots that were featured in the AW collection. Naomi Campbell was also on the front row despite turning up 15 minutes late; proving that fashion waits for nobody.

The catwalk was accompanied by British singer Clare Maguire who completed the show with her original song that was written specially for her Burberry performance. The finale failed to disappoint as this stunning boho presentation was completed with a sprinkle of metallic confetti.
