Netflix’s Emily in Paris Star Lily Collins and Her 5 Best Chic Outfits

Chic princess Lily Collins has been teasing some gorgeous outfits on her Instagram ahead of the Netflix original Emily in Paris premiere, in which she plays the lead role: Miss Emily Cooper.

Her timeless style has always been a stand-out with her Audrey-inspired look which is complemented by her dark hair and thick brows.

She is often seen mixing feminine with masculine through her trouser-blouse and skirt-blazer combos making this her trademark style.

As her name (and style) suggests, she is a big fan of floral as we also see her incorporate flower prints in too many of her daily looks.

Here is a rundown of our favourite Lily looks:

1. The Blouse and Red Lips

Collins recently shared this photograph of herself on Instagram, rocking the iconic red lip which she contrasted with her baby blue blouse and a matching blazer.

We rank this look an 8/10. From the neutral eye makeup, to the dramatic lip, and the colour contrast; this is a polished and well styled look which eludes professionalism and we are huge fans!

2. Monochrome Plaid Shorts and Blazer Set Finalised with a ‘certaine beauté’

It would be rude not to include this look! Designed exclusively for Lily’s lead role in Emily in Paris by Costume Designer Patricia Field. This look was shared by Collins on her Instagram as a sneak-peak ahead of the series release date.

We rank this look a 10/10. Sophisticated, stylish and skilfully accessorised. The bold, red beret is a great choice to add a pop of colour to this black-and-white ensemble. Perfectly scenic and culturally appropriate as the series is set in France.

3. Collars, Collars and Collars!

Let’s not forget that Collins is one of the few who can pull-off a shirt with collars. This warm combination of orange and tan complement each other flawlessly.

We rank this unlikely pairing of leather and mesh a 7/10. The mix of materials looks fantastic when styled with her long wavy hair and the use of a similar orange tone on her lips. These warm shades are ideal for her skin tone and act as the perfect choice for a neutral but trendy look.

4. Emerald Magnitude at the Met Gala

Unfortunately, the 2020 Met Gala was cancelled due to the outbreak of COVID 19 so we must reminisce this more outlandish look modelled by Collins at the 2019 Met Gala.

Debuting Cartier’s Emerald Magnitude collection which she said ‘inspired her entire look,’ Collins screamed ‘more is more,’ with ruffles for days and a trail long and extravagant enough for a bride at her fairy tale wedding. We rank this look an 8/10 purely for its mystical princess wedding ambiance.

5. Structured with Florals? Collin’s at it again with her divergent fashion styling

In April earlier this year, Collin’s shared another photo to her Instagram wearing a hybrid A-line style floral print dress with a low-V on the chest, puffed shoulders, cinched waist followed by a structured bottom and black trim skirt.

This look mixes a lot of different silhouettes and would most definitely catch your eye but does not over do it. The mini lilac tote bag is the perfect choice to couple with the dress so this look earns a 9/10 from us.

There’s no doubt that Lily Collins has endless iconic outfits, and we look forward to seeing her star in Emily in Paris which is due to air October 2 2021 on Netflix.

We’d love to hear from you so send us a tweet @fashion_north sharing your thoughts and expectations anticipating the shows release, and tell us about your favourite Lily Collins fits!
